Now in its fourth year, the Diesel Dirt and Turf show will once again showcase some of the latest product and technologies in the earthmoving industry, and remains one of the largest construction expos in Australia.
Over 76,000 people attended the 2018 show, a massive leap from the 30,000 recorded in its inaugural event in 2016.
What certainly helped was the free entry and free parking available for all visitors, which will remain in place this year. Unlike most other trade shows, visitors need not register beforehand and can simply turn up with their family for a fun day out.
The event will be held over the weekend which will prove convenient for busy workers who can’t afford to take time off work to attend the show.
From event to event, organisers have reported an increase not just in exhibitor and visitor numbers but the actual reach of the show, which extended way beyond NSW and even Australia.
There were overseas representatives from Japan, Germany, USA, Sweden, Malta, Italy and China at last year's show, consolidating Australia’s position as a major market for earthmoving equipment.
Chinese earthmoving equipment brand SANY is on a mission to increase its profile on Australian soil and has signed up as the Gold sponsor for this year’s event.
In addition to seeing and touching the latest machinery on the market, visitors will also be treated to plenty of entertainment, quality food and drink and prizes to be won.
A key attraction each year since the show’s inception in 2016 is the operators’ challenge in which confident machinery operators stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to $26,000.
There will also be a demonstration pit set up where show-goers can not only view the latest machinery in action but also get the chance to put the machines through their paces to gauge how they will perform on their own sites.
