Adaptalift named JCB dealer in major Australian shake-up

New partnership signals a major push to strengthen JCB’s service, support and presence across Australia.

The Adaptalift Group has been appointed as JCB’s new dealer across Australia’s major metro markets, marking a significant shake-up for the construction equipment brand locally.

Announced at a signing ceremony at Adaptalift’s Truganina facility in Melbourne, the agreement will see the company represent JCB across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, along with key regional locations.

JCB is also investing heavily into local service support and parts supply, including new warehouses and a logistics partnership with DHL Supply Chain aimed at improving machine uptime and customer support.

JCB deputy chairman, George Bamford, said the move formed part of a broader strategy outlined late last year.

“This is a big moment for JCB in Australia. We set out a clear plan at the end of last year — new headquarters, new dealers and better support. Today, we’re delivering on that,” Bamford said.

“Adaptalift has the service focus, the reach and the people we need. Together, we’re building a stronger service-driven future for JCB customers right across Australia.”

JCB chief executive officer, Graeme Macdonald, said customers should notice a substantial improvement in support under the new arrangement.

“Adaptalift’s service-driven culture aligns perfectly with JCB’s values. Customers in Australia are going to see a step change in service and product support,” Macdonald said.

For Adaptalift, the agreement represents a major expansion into the construction equipment sector, building on its existing national branch and support network.

Adaptalift Group chief executive officer Lindsay Whiffen described the deal as a major step forward for both companies.

“JCB is a world class brand and we’re proud to represent it across key metro and regional markets,” Whiffen said.

“From day one, our focus is simple — selling a great product range, providing fast service and world-class parts availability and keeping machines working safely and reliably.”

JCB managing director of sales Tim Burnhope added: “With a new dealer in place, stronger logistics and major investment, JCB is making it clear it means business in Australia.”
