It’s a wrap for the annual National Diesel Dirt and Turf expo 2024, which was held over three days in April this year in Eastern Creek, NSW.
The show ran from April 12 to 14 this year, with many exhibitors using the opportunity to launch new products or showcase their latest innovations.
Caterpillar launched its latest compact loaders, the 255 and 265 at its dealer, Westrac’s stand while Gold sponsors Komatsu showcased a couple of prototype machines in Australia including the PC210 LCE fully electric excavator as well as launched its WA475-10 wheel loader at the expo.

Volvo Construction Equipment distributor, CJD Equipment, debuted Volvo CE’s electric equipment range– the L25 wheel loader and ECR25 mini electric excavator to the masses.
The show was opened by Expo Ambassador Jason Hodges, Chris Moroz of Gold Sponsor Komatsu and Blacktown Deputy Mayor, Chris Quilkey.
It welcomed thousands of visitors over the show weekend, attracting both professionals within the industry and families alike.
Many exhibitors put plenty of effort into dressing up their stands this year, with some even taking home awards for their decorating skills.
Chinese equipment brand, XCMG won the award for the Best Large Stand, while the Best Indoor Stand went to James Taliana and the Anglomoil Superior Lubricants team.

XCMG Australia director, Roy Rossini, said the company was pleased to be back as one of the sponsors for this year’s show and to connect with people in the industry.
“The Expo is a fantastic opportunity for everyone in the industry to catch up and find out what's going on,” he said.
“The business had grown dramatically and participation in Diesel Dirt & Turf had been a major part of its marketing strategy.
“The Expo is an exciting place to be and the crowds have been fantastic. This year we showcased a large dump truck and large loader which attracted a lot of attention and the construction sector range is growing month by month.”

Expo Ambassador and landscape gardener, Jason Hodges, said he has never missed an opportunity to visit the show since its inception in 2015.
“The whole family comes with me for the rest of the weekend because there's so much to see and the kids enjoy the fun.”
Hugh Rainger of Pickles Auctions said their Expo auction had become one of the annual highlights of Diesel Dirt & Turf.
“There were a large number of people around which has been fantastic for us,” he said.
Expo Manager, Marti Zivkovich, thanked this year’s sponsors for contributing to the show’s success. They include Komatsu Australia, Pickles, Farmmachinerysales.com.au, Constructionsales.com.au, CreditOne, XCMG, NAWIC, RecordTime and Cappro.
