Global heavy attachment specialist, Auger Torque, has announced the addition of several new products to its stable to cater to a wider market as well as satisfy customer demands for more efficient, more durable and safer attachments.
Unveiled at the bauma trade show in Munich, Germany, as well as at the 2019 Diesel Dirt and Turf show closer to home, the new line-up includes mulchers for ground clearing purposes; range-topping 65,000 and 100,000 Max earth drills; as well as an excavator drill mast for drilling multiple holes.

“Our new product design process is all undertaken in-house, we carry out extensive market research before considering any new product development and then work through an internal design and engineering process to build products that do the job they’re supposed to at a price point the market requires,” said Auger Torque Head of Group R&D, Matt Hencher.
“Having said that, we won’t scrimp on quality. We will only ever bring to market the highest quality and highest endurance products.”

Auger Torque has developed a new mulcher range available in working widths of 1m or 1.5m to meet demand from the arboriculture and landscaping market. The multipurpose mulcher is capable of ground clearance; tree and hedge trimming and removal; or just tackling over grown ditches, Auger Torque said.
The mulcher is suitable for excavators ranging in size from five tonnes to 15 tonnes, as well as skid steer loaders. Operators have the ability to quickly change the whole tooth drum instead of individual teeth, saving a lot of time in the process. Tungsten, hammer and flail tooth options are available.

Other features include a hinged cover to contain debris and allow easy access to the tooth drum; a low-profile design for visibility, and a robust motor and gearbox concealing the gears and bearings to prevent dust and dirt ingress.
Auger Torque has expanded its earth drill range to include the range-topping 65,000 Max and 100,000 Max that are suitable for excavators between 21-tonnes and 45-tonnes, and up to 50-tonnes respectively.
The 100,000 Max has been specifically designed for high torque applications including pre-augering, foundation piles, screw pile installations, deep hole engineering and well boring.

As with the other earth drills in the range, the 65,000 and 100,000 Max drills are built with in-house manufactured hydraulic motors and unique planetary gearbox for high efficiency and durability.
Forged hood ears and hood pins keep the hood locked tightly on to the hitch regardless of the operating conditions, providing for an effective and safe operation.
The earth drills also feature Auger Torque’s unique non-dislodgement shaft (NDS), a single piece drive shaft assembled top down and locked into the earth drill housing. This design guarantees that the shaft will never fall out, Auger Torque said, making for a safer work environment.

Another brand new product in Auger Torque’s stable is a mast-based drilling rig which has been designed for accurate and efficient drilling of multiple holes of equal diameter. Ideal applications for the drill rig includes auger drilling and down hole hammer applications; as well as pre-drilling for pile driving, dewatering, permanent retaining walls and auger cast piles.
The hydraulically driven auger attachment is compatible with excavators from 12 to 15 tonnes, with a torque range of 2717 to 8152Nm. The drilling rig can be attached and detached easily on and from excavators, allowing it to be moved from one application to the next with ease. As the drill rig is excavator mounted, operators are able to use it with their existing equipment without having to deploy specialised heavy equipment.

Like its earth drills, the drilling rig is also equipped with the non-dislodgment shaft for a safe operation.
Enhanced control allows operators to accurately control the drilling of holes up to several meters deep.
