Bowens brings back trade expo

Over 125 exhibitors have signed up to showcase their products and services at the upcoming Bowens Building and Innovation Expo in Melbourne, with a key focus on innovations that increase the speed of construction.

Event organiser, Bowens, which specialises in quality building materials and supplies, anticipates over 5000 trade professionals and builders to attend the one-day-only event.

There will also be a series of product demonstrations and seminars that aim to address the biggest challenges facing the industry over the past 12 months.

One of the innovative products that will be on display is the Wedi Waterproofing Shower System, which Bowen said can be installed by one tradesperson and is ready for tiling in half a day.

This reduces reliance on additional trades and customers don’t need to wait for the screed or waterproofing to dry, Bowen added.

Bowens’ guest speakers will explore the latest in building innovation available to the Australian market to help alleviate building pressures. There will also be interactive demonstrations from the biggest brands in the industry and expert advice from industry specialists covering sustainable building, design and builder wellbeing.

Bowens is also working closely with industry partners, Master Builders Victoria (MBA) Housing Industry Association (HIA), on the day to ensure builders are informed and educated on the National Construction Code 2022, being implemented from September 2022.

Bowens Chief Executive Officer, John Bowen, said the company recognises the challenges facing the construction industry and wishes to continue supporting builders as industry leaders.

The event is free to attend but visitors are required to register online to obtain their tickets. The tickets not only allow entry into the expo but also includes free food and drinks, exclusive one night only specials, giveaways and a free bus service from all Bowens stores.
