The Brandt Group of Companies has cemented its presence in Australia’s construction sector, finalising its appointment as the official John Deere Construction and Forestry dealer across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
Effective from August 18, 2025, the move sees Brandt roll out Deere construction products across all its locations in the three states.
In addition, the business will also take ownership of former RDO facilities in Adelaide and Launceston, expanding its Australian network to 16 dealerships. Former RDO staff will continue with the company under Brandt’s ownership.
Brandt CEO and owner, Shaun Semple, said the region represents a significant growth opportunity.
“Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania are dynamic markets with significant investment in infrastructure and commercial development,” Semple said. “We’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work—investing in our operations to support local contractors as they help drive growth in the region.”
Brandt already operates John Deere agriculture, turf and compact equipment dealerships in Australia, following its market entry in 2021. The Canadian-owned, family-run business has since added more parts inventory, technicians and support staff, aiming to provide a strong aftersales offering.
“We look forward to getting to know our new customers,” Semple said.
“For over 30 years, we have made supporting our customers’ businesses our number one priority and we are looking forward to investing to build a world-class customer-support-focused dealer network across Australia.”
