Case Construction Equipment’s unique DL550 compact dozer-loader hybrid machine which originally started out as a prototype machine back in 2017 has officially been launched into the Australian market.
The DL550, also termed the Minotaur, weighs over 8.4 tonnes and features a 114hp engine. The machine has been designed for dozing and grading, making it ideal for land clearing, road construction, and more.
However, the Minotaur has also been equipped with powerful loading capabilities. It is compatible with hundreds of attachments for various tasks such as materials handling and pallet stacking.
As a result, the Minotaur is a true multi-tasker that’s capable of tackling construction or landscaping projects from start to finish. An integrated rear ripper further enhances functionality.
A key advancement to the Minotaur DL550 is its detachable chassis-integrated C-frame, CASE Construction said. This new design provides operators with a full range of dozer controls and responsiveness, mirroring the performance of CASE's full-size dozers, the company added.
A fully sealed and pressurised ROPS/FOPS Level 1 enclosed cab provides a quiet and comfortable working environment. Features like a ventilation system with integrated heater, air conditioning, and an AM/FM Bluetooth radio with USB port ensure operators stay comfortable and focused throughout their shift.
The Minotaur DL550 was showcased nationally at the CASE Sales Training in Australia and New Zealand earlier in the year. The event, held in the New South Wales Hunter Valley wine region from February 19 to 22, 2024, was attended by 50 representatives across the CASE dealer network as well as CASE Product Managers who flew in from Italy, Bangkok and Dubai to facilitate training.
The events were supported by the CNH global and local teams together with the local CASE dealers – McIntosh in Australia and recently appointed MIMICO in New Zealand.
