Case Construction unveiled its B series skid steer and compact track loaders (CTLs) last year and constructionsales.com.au managed to see one of the new models in the flesh at the recent Civil Construction Field Days in Queensland in May this year.
The Case TR270B compact track loader was on display at Case Construction dealer, Earthmoving Equipment Australia’s (EEA) stand at the show, featuring a unique paint job to reflect the dealership’s support for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The model has an operating weight of about 3700kg and a power output of 74hp, and can be optioned with either standard or high-flow hydraulics to handle a wide range of attachments and applications.
According to Case Construction, the B series has been revamped mainly from a cab and operational point of view, with the exterior styling mostly untouched.
The controls and display have been re-engineered to give customers the highest levels of customisation. Customers can choose from different options and levels of control to suit their own requirements, or those of their employees.
For example, customers can choose between standard mechanical, mechanical hand-and-foot, or electro-hydraulic controls when specifying a machine.
An operator profile function allows different operators to store and recall specific setting profiles to match either individual operator preference or job types.
A new eight-inch LCD multi-function display includes what CASE claimed is the industry’s only backup camera visible in a split screen display with machine data, giving operators a bird’s-eye view of all key operation views and stats.
