Cat lift trucks stand United

Following a recent acquisition of distribution rights from Hastings Deering, materials handling equipment company United Forklift and Access Solutions has become the exclusive distributor of the Cat brand of lift trucks in Australia.

According to United Forklift's Cat product manager Craig Coles, the takeover means customers will have great access to the entire range of Cat forklift products from the one source.

"Equipment purchase and hire customers, including existing Hasting customers, will benefit substantially from the prompt, comprehensive and well established service, safety and training arrangements from United facilities across Australia," he says.

"These services are keyed to enhancing cost-efficiency while extending safety and environmental benefits from advanced equipment that we are progressively introducing and expanding in the local market."

He adds United and Hastings will continue to work closely moving forward. Hastings will now take on the role of a reseller and servicing agent for United in areas where the company has a presence.

The takeover was effective from September 30, 2016.

"United has taken delivery of Hastings Deering Cat Lift Truck capital equipment and spare parts stock and will progressively transfer various rental agreements currently in place," Coles adds.

"We will extend outstanding choice and service to new and existing Hastings customers."

United Forklift and Access Solutions has offices across Australia including Perth, Bunbury (WA), Melbourne, Ballarat (VIC), Brisbane, Sydney and Darwin.
