Every year, the National Diesel Dirt and Turf (DDT) expo holds a charity golf day preceding the show to raise funds for a special cause and this year, it is no different.
This year’s golf day will be held on March 20 at the championship Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club at Luddenham, NSW.
All proceeds from the event this year will go directly to the families of Geoff Keaton and Andrew O’Dwyer, the two fire fighters from the Horsley Park Rural Fire Service and the family of Samuel McPaul of the Morven Rural Fire Brigade who all lost their lives earlier this year.
Established in 2018, the Diesel Dirt &Turf Expo golf day has raised money for MIRAA House, a not for profit, learning and life skills centre that offers a post school program for women with an intellectual disability.
In 2019, the golf day raised money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, sponsored by Digga Australia.
Every year, DDT invites organisations and businesses within the construction industry to participate in the meaningful event. Teams will enjoy an early breakfast before taking part in a putting competition with prizes. And then it’s tee-off from there.
“It’s a great way to network with others in the industry and enjoy a great day while raising money for charity,” said DDT expo manager, Marti Zivkovich.
In addition to funds raised by the entry green fees, there is also a raffle for amazing prizes to be won, alongside a number of prizes for the longest drive, nearest the pin and more.
The 2020 National Diesel Dirt &Turf Expo will be held over three days – from Friday May 15 to Sunday May 17 at the Panthers Penrith showgrounds in Penrith, NSW.
The event is one of Australia’s largest for earthmoving and construction machinery and is a must-attend for people working in the industry.
