Digital technology is becoming more prominent in all aspects of society, including the building and construction industry. Hence why Australia’s leading construction firms are already investing in the next wave of technology that will keep them on top of their game.
These technological trends and more will be explored at the second annual Construction Technology Summit that will be held on October 25, 2017 in Melbourne, Australia. Cloud collaboration platform provider, Aconex, will once again partner with the Victorian state government to host the event, following a highly successful inaugural summit in 2016.
The one-day event in Melbourne’s Docklands will bring together leaders and digital innovators in the construction and infrastructure spaces.
“We’re excited to partner with the Victorian government again to host the second annual Construction Technology Summit,” says Aconex Chief Executive Officer, Leigh Jasper.
“As an early adopter of technology, Australia is one of the most advanced countries in the world when it comes to project delivery.
“The Summit is designed to demonstrate how some of the world’s biggest and most successful projects are leveraging technology to deliver better outcomes, and explore how digital technologies are likely to shape the sector for years to come.
“The environment is exciting and fast paced, and provides an excellent networking opportunity for attendees.”
At the summit, delegates will be able to participate in interactive presentations as well as panel discussions on best practice in construction digitisation. Keynote speakers include representatives from various companies such as Boston Consulting Group, Al Group, Roberts Pizzarotti and LendLease.
There will also be the opportunity for attendees to network with over 350 senior industry professionals.
The Australian Constructors Association (ACA) will return as a major supporter along with new sponsorships from Microsoft, IFS, Plangrid, APE Mobile and TIMG.
“Digital technologies are driving the way cities are developed, and leading contractors are looking to innovative organisations like Aconex and participants at the Summit for support in delivering the construction and infrastructure projects of the future,” says ACA Executive Director, Lindsay Le Compte.
“The ACA is pleased to be a sponsor again, and congratulates Aconex on its initiative to bring the digital community and industry leaders together for what promises to be an inspiring event.”
