D’Avino dumpers arrive in Australia

European machinery is always sought after in the construction industry as they are known for their quality engineering and components.

D’Avino may not be a big name in the local market but in its home nation of Italy, the brand is revered for its high quality mining and construction equipment. Its range of dumpers was recently added to Brisbane dealership Brisvegas Machinery’s range of offerings, and were on display at the Heavy Equipment and Machinery Show in Brisbane earlier this year.

The D12 is the range’s flagship dumper with a load capacity of 12 tonnes. It features a fully enclosed cab with air-conditioning as standard. The dumper body is made of Hardox steel for durability.

“With the new product, we’re going to be targeting rental companies,” said Brisvegas Machinery’s Marco Marabini.

“Already it’s extremely popular in that segment of the market, as well as people on civil sites who predominantly use wheel loaders or larger-sized dump trucks.

“These are a bit more versatile due to the size and also the four-wheel drive steering is going to be very useful for accessing tight spots.”

Its smaller brother, the DS70, has a seven-tonne payload capacity and a body that is able to swivel 180 degrees for dumping to the side. Its dumper body is also made of Hardox steel, ensuring longevity.

“You can get in those tight spaces with this machine and utilise that swivel to get where you need to and dump the material in the correct place,” Marabini said.

The DS70 comes with a ROPS canopy and is powered by a Tier-3 compliant Yanmar diesel engine.

Both models are also available with camera options for safer operation.

Warranty on the D’Avino range is two years or 2000 hours.
