DDT equipment auction to raise funds for children’s hospital

The Pickles Live Auction event has been a major drawcard at the National Diesel Dirt and Turf expo since its inception and this year, the event will be entirely dedicated to a very meaningful cause.

The auction will be held on Saturday, April 22 this year, where Pickles will auction goods donated by Semco Equipment Sales and all funds raised by the sale will go directly to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

More specifically, the funds will be directed to the Clancy Ward, a medical multi-specialty ward that provides treatment and specialist care for children, including those who require liver & kidney transplants.

Clancy Ward’s Nurse Unit Manager, Julie Palmer, says the hospital is grateful for any donations that support the excellent care and treatment the children receive. Clancy Ward has previously been supported by families of former patients, as well as local businesses.

Attendees will be able to bid live at the event and online bidding will be available for those unable to attend the expo. The auction will feature five lots of assets and will begin at 12pm on April 22.

Items donated by Semco for the auction are all brand new and include a Toro riding lawn mower valued at $4500, a Toro push mower valued at $2000, a $2500 Honda generator and a $2500 Dynavac compaction plate.

“Pickles is extremely pleased to be involved with raising funds for this wonderful facility whose staff perform an amazing and valuable community health service,” said Pickles’ Matt Blunden.

The National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo will be held this weekend from Friday April 21 to Sunday April 23 at the Sydney Dragway in Eastern Creek, New South Wales.

Entry is $10 per adult and parking is free.
