After a one-year hiatus due to adverse weather conditions in NSW earlier this year, Diesel Dirt & Turf (DDT), Australia’s leading earthmoving machinery expo, has announced it is bringing its Golf Day back next year to be held in March.
Mama Lana's Community Foundation is once again the Expo’s chosen charity in 2023. Mama Lana’s is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping the often forgotten homeless and underprivileged community in the greater Penrith region.
The organisation offers hot meals six nights a week, supplies food and toiletry packs, as well as clothing, sleeping bags, swags and blankets to keep the homeless and underprivileged warm during cold Penrith nights. MLCF also works with and assists other local charities and support services and responds to crisis calls from people in need.
MLCF founding director, Lana Borg, said the organisation is thrilled to be chosen as the beneficiary of the 2023 DDT Golf Day.

“As a wholly not-for-profit charity, we receive no ongoing government funding and rely heavily on the support of private donors," she said.
"To have this fundraising opportunity to enable our service to continue providing essential services to our local community is just amazing.
“We have seen an increase in the number of people needing assistance with food and basic necessities, so this fundraising will assist us greatly in continuing to support the homeless and disadvantaged in the Nepean area with meals, pantry items, toiletries and other basic needs.”
The 2023 Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo annual charity golf day will be held on Friday March 3, 2023 at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club in Luddenham, NSW. The event will kick off with a 6.30am breakfast, followed by a putting competition before moving on to the main event.
The day features lots of big prizes on the course, however the most popular event is the Pickles auction of items donated by members of the industry, businesses, associates and others wishing to contribute to the needs of the community.
DDT Expo manager, Marti Zivkovich, conveyed his gratitude to sponsors and industry partners who participate in the event, as well as those who donate auction and raffle prizes and sponsor holes.

“The golf day is a great way to build networking with others in the industry while enjoying a great day out and raising money for a worthy community cause,” he said.
The DDT expo itself has been locked in for April 21 to 23, 2023, to be held at Ferrers Road Eastern Creek, New South Wales.
