The Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo, which ran from April 17 to 19 this year, officially marked a decade of growth, with the event continuing to attract major equipment manufacturers, contractors, suppliers and service providers from across Australia and overseas.
The expo was officially opened by Blacktown Mayor Councillor, Brad Bunting, alongside Komatsu Australia national sales manager for utility, Carl Grundy, with Komatsu returning as the event's gold sponsor for a sixth consecutive year.
Grundy said the expo had become an important fixture on Komatsu Australia's promotional calendar and highlighted the company's ongoing support for the earthmoving sector.
Expo organisers attributed the event's continued growth to its increasing importance as a marketing and networking platform for equipment manufacturers, suppliers and service providers. Established in 2015, Diesel Dirt & Turf has grown into one of the industry's key annual events and now attracts international exhibitors and visitors.
One of the major attractions was the annual Pickles auction, which saw strong participation both onsite and online.

According to Pickles Industrial NSW sales manager, Matt Blanch, buyers quickly snapped up the 60 civil construction assets offered during the auction, continuing a tradition that has become a highlight of the event.
The expo also served as a launch platform for new products and company milestones. Among those celebrating at the event was Penrite Oil Company, which marked its centenary by showcasing lubricants and fluids designed for the construction and agricultural sectors.
Visitors included contractors, equipment suppliers, manufacturers, local councils, recruitment providers, finance companies and insurers, creating opportunities for networking and business development across the industry.

The event also featured demonstrations of the latest machinery, attachments, trailers, mowers and specialised vehicles, giving attendees the opportunity to compare products and discuss emerging technologies directly with suppliers.
Organisers have already confirmed the dates for the 2027 Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo, which will return to Sydney Dragway from April 16 to 18.
