Brisbane-based machinery dealership, Midway Sales, has announced the expansion of its Emu implements range to include a backhoe package which features an operator’s station, a backhoe loader with bucket, and outriggers for stability when working.
The Korean-made Emu backhoe is available in three sizes suitable for tractors from 25 to 100hp and can be mounted to category one, two and three linkages.
“This backhoe range is typical of the premium Korean quality we have come to expect from the Emu range,” said Midway Sales’ Scott Spring-Brown.
“The backhoe easily fits onto the three-point linkage of just about any tractor and is powered by the tractor’s hydraulic system.
“Increasing the versatility of a tractor, the backhoe can trench for footings, drainage, plumbing and electrical work.”
He added the Emu backhoes are also great for general digging jobs such as tree planting or stump removal, as well as for clearing dams and drains.
Spring-Brown said the backhoe can be attached and removed in minutes, leaving the tractor free for other jobs.
The operator station features a padded seat with a safety belt and joystick controls that are easy and intuitive to use.
The boom is capable of rotating 180 degrees and the curved design gives a greater digging depth of up to 2.7m. A high lift enables materials to be lifted on to high mounds.
The backhoe also comes with individually controlled support legs to provide superior stability in operation, particularly on uneven ground.
A range of optional attachments is available with the backhoe package including a narrow trenching bucket, wide mud buckets, half hitch and a ripper. Midway Sales said the attachments can be changed over in seconds without the use of tools. Locking pins help keep the implement secure while in transport.
Emu’s backhoe, like the rest in its range, is manufactured from high-grade steel for durability. Other products in the Emu stable include slashers, rotary hoes and carryalls.
Pricing for Emu’s backhoe range starts from $7750.
