Swedish excavator attachment expert, Engcon, has expanded its presence in the Pacific region with a new premise at St Marys in Sydney’s West spanning an administration office, a warehouse and a demo area.
The facility will support sales and servicing of Engcon products in response to an increase in demand for tiltrotators and quick couplers Down Under, the company said.

The expansion comes as only two to three percent of the world's excavators are estimated to be equipped with a tiltrotator - the excavator ‘wrist’ that tilts and rotates which enhances efficiency and accuracy when digging. Engcon said the untapped global sales potential is huge and the company is keen to capitalise on it.
“We are a global company that has increased its presence in several geographic markets in recent years,” said Engcon founder, Stig Engström.
“For example, we have had a successful introduction to North America recently and further strengthened our position in Europe. At the same time in the Pacific region and Australia, we have over time seen a steadily increasing demand for our products.
“The potential in Australia is huge. The sales volume achieved so far in Australia is impressive, which may have to do with the fact that they are early adopters and therefore accepted the technology quickly. The time feels right for us to establish our presence there.”
Per-Oskar Svedberg, who has worked with Engcon in both the Swedish and North American markets, is responsible for the new Australian office.

”Having our own office in Australia will provide more opportunities to discuss directly with operators our technology and demonstrate Engcon products,” he said.
“We will focus on close customer contact, product training and support. By the end of 2020, the plan is to have three people in place.
“We believe we’ll achieve a significantly increased sales rate now that Engcon have become more active in the market.”
Engcon's Sydney office is located at 62 Power Street, St Marys, New South Wales 2020.
