Responding to demand for a compact and safe solution for work in tight spaces, Genie has released its GS-1330m scissor lift featuring a weight of 885kg and max working height of 5.75m.
The new model will be on display at the HIRE19 show in Melbourne from May 22 to 23.
It is capable of supporting 227kg and a maximum of two people on the platform, and is suitable for construction applications in space restricted or congested locations such as offices and shopping malls, Genie said.
“Low-level access is a growing segment in the aerial access industry, with increasing pressure to replace ladders with safe, productive alternatives including applications beyond the typical job site, such as industrial and institutional facilities,” said Genie National Sales Manager, Kurt Kinder.

“Additionally, the growing need for productive solutions in low-floor loading applications is driving innovation in lightweight product segments.
“The new Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is specifically designed to meet the needs of our customers in the ever-changing mobile elevated work platform market.”
The Genie GS-1330m scissor lift has an all-electric DC drive system that offers ample power for getting around indoor job sites with zero emissions.
The GS-1330m allows operators to drive at full height as well as in the stowed position. It can also climb up to 25 per cent graded slopes for accessibility and transportability.
“As the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift weighs less than 907 kg, it can access job sites previously off-limits to heavier slab scissors and vertical mast lifts,” Kinder explained.
“The GS-1330m is equipped with platform load sense which will help operators understand when they have overloaded the platform.”

The new scissor lift also incorporates the Genie Smart Link control system that offers a familiar interface, as well as fully proportional lift and drive control for precise positioning in the work environment.
“The Genie Smart Link control system simplifies troubleshooting with onboard, easy-to-read and user-friendly machine adjustments and diagnostics, and it is compatible with the Genie Tech Pro Link hand-held diagnostic tool,” Kinder said.
Designed with the operator in mind, the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is equipped with side-by-side platform guard rails for easy deck extension and retraction.
It features diamond plate platform flooring which provides a durable gripping surface. The link stack is centred under the platform to give operators stability and optimal comfort while working at height.
“The new Genie GS-1330m scissor lift shares significant commonality with the Genie GS scissor lift family, including design features that enhance serviceability,” Kinder said.
“For example, swing-out service trays allow for unobstructed access to all machine components, including the hydraulic and electrical systems, simplifying service and maintenance and ensuring machines can get back on rent, faster.”
In addition to the GS-1330m scissor lift, Genie will also be showcasing its new Z-45 XC articulating boom at the HIRE19 show, which is the latest addition to its Xtra Capacity boom lift family.
Its range of accessories including the Genie Lift Guard contact alarm system and the Genie Lift Connect telematics fleet management solution will also be on display.
The HIRE19 show, which will be showcasing the latest products and services within the hire and rental industry, will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 22 to 23.
