Last held in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic, the Heavy Equipment and Machinery Show, formerly known as the Civil Construction Field Days, will be back bigger than ever this year in a new location and its forever home - the Brisbane Showgrounds.
The expo will be held from May 18 to 21, in conjunction with the Brisbane Truck Show running over the same days at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In 2019, the show was launched by the Civil Contractors Federation Queensland at a much smaller site in Archerfield with approximately 40 exhibitors and 900 attendees.
Now in its third year, the event is expected to play host to over 100 exhibitors and 6000 visitors.
Some of the businesses signed up to exhibit at the show include Queensland Caterpillar dealership, Hastings Deering; Volvo Construction Equipment dealership, CJD Equipment; BKT Tyres; Komatsu and more.
Pickles Industrial is returning this year as the show’s naming sponsor. In addition to having a stand, the company will also be running a live auction on Friday, May 19.
Queensland Transport and Main Roads Minister, Mark Bailey, will be officiating the opening of the show on Thursday, May 18 at 9.30am.
Tickets are now on sale via the Heavy Equipment and Machinery Show website. The expo has once again teamed up with the Brisbane Truck Show to offer ticket holders access to both shows as well as free shuttle buses between the shows.
