JCB has made several improvements to its award-winning Hydradig wheeled excavator to further improve visibility and comfort for the operator.
The front of the cab has been redesigned, with a 106mm increase in the windscreen top line, changing the split between upper and lower screens to a 63/37 split.
JCB said this offers improved forward visibility and allows customers to take on a wide range of tasks with confidence.
JCB has also changed the front screen from curved to flat glazing, reducing replacement costs for customers.
The front wiper motor has been relocated to the bottom rail of the windscreen for improved visibility when roading and to provide an increased wiper sweep across the glass.
A second wiper arm can now be ordered as an option, to cover the lower glazed panel. With the wiper motor moved from the top of the screen to the bottom and the additional height of the glass, the view to the front has been greatly improved, JCB said.
The cab door now comes with a standard sliding window for improved ventilation and to allow communication with workers at ground level. An optional sliding right hand side window is also available for those that require it.
JCB has also included a standard Stop/Start switch for the engine and increased document storage in the cab.
In addition, JCB has made its Intelligent Hydraulics system standard on the Hydradig 110W, allowing operators to programme the response from the servo levers to their individual requirements. The system can be retro-installed on existing machines via a simple software update.
