Following the launch of the JS200SC excavator in 2015, JCB Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) has lifted the lid off its new JS200LC - a long carriage excavator featuring improved strength and durability.
According to JCB CEA National Product Manager for Heavy Excavators, Deon Cope, the JS200LC has been put through extensive rig and endurance testing to make its key components last longer.
“The JS200LC comes with a new reinforced boom and dipper made from high tensile strength steel, three-piece wrapper plates and cast ends. The result is a very resilient machine,” he says.
“The high-strength undercarriage of the machine uses a fully-welded X-frame construction for lasting durability and resilience in even the most demanding applications.”
The JS200LC features JCB’s DIESELMAX engine which, according to the company, uses up to 10 per cent less fuel than the Tier 3 units, hence reducing operation costs.
“The excavator is also equipped with JCB’s innovative hydraulic regeneration system, which recycles oil across the cylinders for faster cycle times and reduced fuel consumption,” Cope adds.
The servicing interval for the engine oil and oil filter is 500 hours, meaning easier maintenance and servicing for the operator.
“When it comes to operator comfort, you can expect a quiet cab thanks to reduced noise levels inside and outside the machine,” Cope says.
“There is also a large laminated roof window that gives optimum visibility if working at height.
“The JS200LC is durable, versatile and resilient, offering easy serviceability, making it the perfect choice for demanding environments and applications.”
