JCB Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) has added the 540-180 Hi-Viz Loadall telehandler to its materials handling range.
According to JCB CEA, the new unit offers 20 per cent faster cycle times and over four per cent saving on fuel consumption over current models, thanks to a new and efficient hydraulic system.
“One of the key features of this Loadall is its regenerative hydraulic system, which uses gravitational force and diverts oil back to the rams while the arm is lowering,” says JCB CEA National Product Manager for Material Handlers, Anthony Lockwood.
“This leads to fast cycle times and fuel savings.”
In addition, JCB has increased the visibility, operator safety, machine lift height and forward reach on the 540-180 Hi-Viz.
“This Loadall machine boasts an impressive 18m lift height and 4000kg lift capacity, which is unrivalled in the market,” Lockwood says.
“The compact design and versatility of the JCB Loadall range means they can take place of other machines on the work site, such as a mobile crane, skid steer, wheel loader or forklift.”
The 540-180 Hi-Viz comes fitted with the 74hp JCB EcoMAX engine, which JCB CEA says consumes about 14 per cent less fuel than other models in the range.
“The JCB EcoMAX engine doesn’t use a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), so there’s no loss of productivity during the regeneration process, nor the extra expense of replacing a DPF,” Lockwood explains.
Safety features include JCB’s patented load control system and sway frames that allow for a safe and more stable load placement. Hose burst check valves protect the driver and bystanders in the event of hose failure.
