John Deere expands repair choices

New Operations Center PRO Service gives customers greater control over diagnostics, repairs and machine support

John Deere has launched a new digital support platform designed to give Australian customers more flexibility in how they maintain and repair their machinery, with access extending across agriculture, construction, forestry and turf equipment.

Called Operations Center PRO Service, the new offering expands on John Deere’s existing digital ecosystem and provides users with technician-level tools, including advanced diagnostics, software reprogramming and machine-specific service information.

John Deere Australia and New Zealand director of aftermarket and customer support, Steph Gersekowski, said the platform was designed to put more repair choice into customers’ hands.

“It gives customers access to relevant and current content in PIN/machine-specific manuals, as well as the ability to perform advanced actions, such as reprogramming controllers, running real-time diagnostics and carrying out interactive tests and calibrations,” she said.

According to John Deere, customers can choose whether to complete repairs themselves, use a local mechanic or continue working with a John Deere dealership.

John Deere Australia and New Zealand production systems specialists manager, Max Cusack, said speed and flexibility were key drivers behind the new service.

“If you have the Operation Center PRO Service annual licence you can log in, understand what that diagnostic trouble code is and see if it's something you might want to fix yourself or, alternatively, engage your local John Deere Dealer or independent mechanic,” he said.

“We understand that when the pressure's on, you're trying to harvest that last hectare, get that last cubic metre of soil moved, or get ready for that golf tournament, so it's really important that speedy diagnostics, repairs and fault finding can happen.”

The platform is available through annual subscription tiers ranging from a single-machine licence through to larger fleet and third-party service business options.

Features available through Operations Center PRO Service include machine health insights, diagnostic readings, interactive tests, calibrations, software updates and warranty information.
