Family owned and operated construction equipment business, Forecast Machinery, has been appointed the new dealership for Kobelco's range of products in the Northern Territory.
The appointment was effective from April 1, 2017.
Currently run by Tom and Andy Bate, the business caters to a wide range of clients; from solo landscapers to large mining contractors.
Kobelco General Manager - Sales & Service, Doug McQuinn, says the Northern Territory market is unique, with a diverse combination of primary resources, defence, civil and small local projects.
"Forecast Machinery is an expert in their field and Kobelco is proud to be partnering with Tom and Andy as they build Forecast's presence in the excavator sales market," he says.
"With a reputation in the Northern Territory for outstanding service and reliability, it's a great fit for both Kobelco and Forecast Machinery."
Forecast Machinery co-owner, Andy Bate, says the addition of Kobelco represents the next step up for the business.
"While all of our servicing staff are trained heavy-diesel fitters and we've been servicing Kobelco machines for the past four years, the sales side of our business for excavators has mostly been in smaller and mid-sized machines until now," he says.
"The addition of the Kobelco range is a logical next step for us.
"We have a good reputation built on quality sales with dependable and timely service, so adding Kobelco excavators to our range is a great solution for our clients."
