Officially unveiled at Kubota Australia’s 2024 summit, Kubota's latest compact track loader model, the SVL97-3, is confirmed to be arriving at local dealerships across Australia later this month.
Since its launch, the model has generated strong early interest from contractors and equipment operators across the country, Kubota said.
Compared with its predecessor, the SVL97-3 delivers up to 20 per cent faster cycle times and a 17 per cent increase in productivity. The machine features a redesigned cab with improved sealing, upgraded air conditioning, a heated suspension seat, and a wider entrance, all aimed at reducing operator fatigue during extended use.
Kubota Australia Product Manager, Scott Johnstone, said the machine had been developed in response to operator feedback.
“Operators aren’t just looking for performance, they’re also looking for comfort, intuitive controls and machines that are easy to service and manage,” he said.
“The SVL97-3 delivers on all fronts. This is a refined, operator-focused machine that’s been carefully developed to meet real jobsite needs, and it’s absolutely ready to lift standards on any worksite.”
The SVL97-3 comes standard with a seven-inch touchscreen display, integrated reverse camera, LED work lights, and keyless start with operator ID settings that support safer and more efficient operation. The system also allows tracking of cycle times and machine usage, which is expected to benefit fleet managers and rental businesses.
In terms of mechanical improvements, the loader is equipped with high-flow hydraulics, Kubota’s auto-shift transmission, and the Kubota Shockless Ride (KSR) system, aimed at maintaining stability and reducing spillage across uneven terrain.
A new swing-out radiator kit and improved access to service points are designed to reduce maintenance time and minimise downtime.
The machine has a 3.26m loader arm reach and a standard self-levelling function, allowing more accurate material handling and truck loading.
Kubota also confirmed a new partnership with tech provider, Aptella, which will see the latter's range of products such as Topcon's MC-Mobile machine control solution offered through Kubota's dealer network.
Aptella's solutions that are compatible with Kubota's range of machines including excavators, compact track loaders and skid steer loaders, including the SVL97-3, are expected to further increase productivity, efficiency and safety for operators and owners.
