List of affected construction trade shows in Australia for 2020 (live updates)

Construction and trade expos around the country canned or postponed as coronavirus containment measures intensify

Following the Federal Government’s announcement over the weekend of a ban on mass gatherings of over 500 people, shows such as the popular Sydney Royal Easter show to be held in early April have been called off.

This comes as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the country and several state governments in Australia including ones in Victoria and ACT have declared a state of emergency earlier today.

Shows happening in the immediate future have been cancelled or postponed with events to take place further along the calendar potentially also pulling the pin.

Events that have been CANCELLED:

March

  • Sydney Build Expo/CIVENEX (NSW) - March 19-20, 2020

August

  • Tasmania homeFEST (TAS) - August 29-30, 2020

Events that have been POSTPONED:

MARCH

  • Perth Home Show (WA) - March 27-29, 2020 (new dates TBA)

APRIL

  • Melbourne Home Show (VIC) - April 16-19, 2020 (new dates TBA)
  • DesignBUILD (VIC) – April 21-23, 2020 (new dates: October 27-29, 2020)

MAY

  • National Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo - May 15-17, 2020 (new dates: October 16-18, 2020)

JUNE

  • Farmfest (QLD) - June 2-4, 2020 (new dates: October 13-15, 2020)

AUGUST

  • Perth Home Show (WA) - August 7-9, 2020 (new dates TBA)
  • AgQuip (NSW) - August 18–20, 2020 (new dates: November 10 to 12, 2020)
  • Melbourne Home Show (VIC) - August 28-30, 2020 (new dates TBA)
