Mini excavators top most popular product list

Thanks to the infrastructure and housing boom in the past couple of years, coupled with the Government’s generous Temporary Expensing Program, earthmoving machinery have never been in higher demand, with most machinery dealerships reporting their stock flying off the dealership floor.

According to in-house data, mini excavators are one of the most viewed product categories on constructionsales.com.au, with the Kubota U17-3 taking the number one spot of most viewed item on the site.

Its bigger brother, the 5.4-tonne Kubota U55-4, sits at number three.

Two Yanmar machines, namely the Yanmar ViO17 and ViO80, took out the other two excavator spots in the top 10 most-viewed items list on constructionsales.com.au.

In addition to excavators, dozers and graders were also very popular with the masses, with the Caterpillar brand dominating those categories.

While stock levels have been an issue throughout the year, due to component shortage and ongoing supply chain issues, it is expected to improve in the New Year with backlog easing and more stock anticipated to arrive in the country.
