New Takeuchi excavators and CTL announced

Three new compact excavators and a new compact track loader added to Aussie line-up

Semco Equipment Sales, local distributor of Takeuchi’s range of machinery, has added four new machinery models to its local line-up.

They are the 1.7-tonne TB217R excavator, the 6-tonne TB257FR excavator, 7-tonne TB370 excavator and the TL8R-2 compact track loader.

TB217R

Takeuchi said its new 1.7-tonne TB217R excavator has been designed for operators looking for a heavier machine with greater ground stability, a reduced tail swing and extended reach for high performance on smaller access worksites.

The TB217R has a longer undercarriage, 1130mm arm, 4000mm maximum reach and a maximum dig depth of 2390mm.

Takeuchi added it is ideal for contractors who may be familiar with the Takeuchi TB215 and TB216 models.

TB257FR

The 6-tonne TB257FR is an update of Takeuchi’s existing TB153FR excavator.

Some of its new and improved features include a side-to-side boom, a 105l/min high flow auxiliary output, a handy retractable fuel transfer pump and an updated spacious cab. The new cab has an automotive style interior, integrated multi-function LCD dash panel, OPG level-2 roof guard and an LED night lighting kit.

This TB257FR’s Tier-4 39kW engine produces a 32 per cent increase in power output over the previous model, Takeuchi said, as well as a 19 per cent increase in traction force/pushing power.

TB370

The 7-tonne TB370 is the first of Takeuchi's “3-Series” excavators to land in Australia that features Takeuchi’s next generation technology. One of its key features is a large touch screen control panel from which the user can operate all machine controls.

The TB370 will be available with a range of options generally only available on larger machines, Takeuchi said. It is compact enough to satisfy road transport regulation limits while offering the capabilities of a 7-tonne machine, Takeuchi added.

The TB370 delivers 120l/min high flow auxiliary output with adjustable flow and pressure and a retractable fuel transfer pump. The cab now features an automotive style interior, heated air suspension seat, 8-inch multi-function LCD dash panel with touch screen, a 270-degree camera, OPG level-2 roof guard and a high-performance LED night lighting kit.

TL8R-2

The TL8R-2 completes Takeuchi’s new generation compact track loader range, and joins the TL10V-2, TL12V-2 and TL12R-2 in the series.

The machine features larger and wider tracks, a quieter engine, a more comfortable cabin, improved controls and instrumentation similar to its siblings, Takeuchi said.

Like the TL10V-2, the new TL8R-2 loader features a wide 400mm quiet track design with flotation tread. Another prominent feature on the TL8R-2 is a creep mode with auto shift that enables more precise travel control when using some attachments.

Other features include a hydraulic hitch, excavator style stowable sliding front door, updated spacious cab with automotive style interior, integrated multi-function LCD dash panel with reverse camera, OPG level-2 roof guard and a powerful LED night lighting kit.

The TL8R-2 has a standard auxiliary hydraulic flow of 72.3l/min but is available with a high flow option of 128l/min to run more demanding attachments.
