South-east Queensland’s newest agricultural machinery business, STAG Machinery Group, is widening its reach, recently acquiring New Holland dealer, SEQ Ag and Construction, in Toowoomba.
Under the expansion, STAG Machinery will take over the New Holland brand, selling it alongside its existing Case IH range.
Case IH and New Holland Agriculture and New Holland Construction are all brands under the CNH Industrial banner.
“For customers, they will have access to a wider range of machinery, recognising the agricultural diversity of this area and, in a first for STAG and Ag Requirements, we will be offering construction equipment which opens us up to a whole new market,” said STAG principal, Noel Baines.
“It really is an exciting development that creates new opportunities for us, and for our customers, who stand to benefit from increased options for their businesses.”
STAG Machinery Group was formed in 2020 through a partnership between Craig Brimblecombe of St George Machinery Centre, and Baines, owner of Ag Requirements in Gatton, to run the former Wideland Ag Case IH dealerships in Toowoomba and Dalby.
Ag Requirements will now assume responsibility for the Lockyer Valley part of the business while STAG, from its new Toowoomba location, will focus on customers in that locale.
Several staff from SEQ Ag and Construction will continue with STAG Machinery Group and Ag Requirements.
Brimblecombe said they were looking forward to working with both the Case IH and New Holland brands.
“It is very much business as usual for customers, and we look forward to working with them and introducing them to the outstanding support and service standards STAG Machinery Group and Ag Requirements are renowned for," he said.
“STAG has gone from strength to strength in the past two years and Noel and I know that’s due to the skills and dedication of our staff, and their commitment to fulfilling customer needs around sales, machine servicing and parts.”
