Japanese earthmoving equipment brand Takeuchi has announced the release of its latest tracked loader innovation – the radial-lift TL6R that offers a series of upgrades in terms of comfort, power, controls and technology.
Weighing just 3.5 tonnes and boasting a narrow width of 1.5m, the Takeuchi TL6R is compact enough to be loaded easily on to the back of trucks and trailers for transportation to and from job sites. Its low cabin height of 1975mm allows it to access door openings on garages or carports on residential properties with ease, useful for when contractors need to move materials to and from buildings.
The TL6R features a tier 4 final engine offering 64hp. The loader’s active power control helps operators maintain maximum engine power for optimal performance in all ground conditions with a wide range of attachments.
Takeuchi engineers have fitted the TL6R with a redesigned hydraulic pilot control system as well as Takeuchi’s well-regarded joystick control that has been further refined for a comfortable and precise operation.
Despite the loader’s compact size, it is capable of handling an 835kg operating load. A built-in reversing camera that shows what’s behind the machine via a large 5.7-inch LCD dash panel screen ensures operation safety.
The TL6R shares the same undercarriage design with other recent model Takeuchi track loaders, but with redesigned triple flange track rollers to minimise the risk of de-tracking.
The new undercarriage design also offers a reduction in cabin sound levels and vibration, hence improving operator comfort.
Large LED work lights on the TL6R help improve visibility in low-light conditions, while reducing power consumption. In the cab, a new design full-size suspension high back seat gives additional support and further reduces vibration for increased comfort. Other creature comfort features include cup holders, a phone charging port and a radio.
A hydraulic quick hitch on the new loader makes changing attachments a breeze, eliminating the need for operators to manually unlock the hitch to change attachments. A wiring harness gives added efficiency for electrical attachments, whereby operators can plug the attachments right in without having to manually wire them into the machine.
