Toyota’s Huski brand is well-known for its range of skid steer loaders but Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is planning to take the brand to greater heights with its new SV-E Skytower series of self-propelled scissor-lifts.
TMHA has launched five new Huski scissor lift models at the Hire18 show in Brisbane that ran from May 30 to 31.
TMHA says the Huski SV-E Skytower series work platforms are easy to use, compact and offer a maximum working height of 9.68m and a maximum load capacity of 450kg.
TMHA’s general manager for corporate compliance and project development, Bob Walmsley, said the new Huski scissor-lift range will complement the company’s current range of Bravi centre-mast work platforms.
“With Huski scissor lifts and Bravi, we can now offer work platforms for the full range of applications,” he said.
“The Bravi platforms feature working heights up to 4.6m and the Huski scissor lift platforms range from 5.72m to 9.68m.
“Backing these new work platforms will be TMHA’s full product-support capability, with our nation-wide branch network, huge fleet of mobile service vans and the best-trained service technicians in the material-handling industry.”
The five models are the 5.72m height SV06ENS, 6.10m SV06ENL, 7.77m SV08ENL, 7.92m SV08EWL and 9.68m SV10EWL.
All five models, except the SVO8ENL, have both indoor and outdoor ratings for worksites, including building fit-out, maintenance tasks and painting.
“Features include a sliding extension deck, AC drive motor to ensure long operation times, joy-stick type upper control steering switch and a lower control panel on the chassis,” Walmsley said.
Toyota has also improved accessibility and ease of use on the SV-E series. The company claims the scissor lifts have the lowest floor height in the segment for easier access on to the platform.
These electrically powered units are also easy to maintain, according to TMHA, as there is no need for users to refill the water in the battery.
