Italian heavy equipment attachment manufacturer Trevi Benne has built and delivered what it said is one of the largest demolition crushers in the world to a customer in Europe.
The attachment was built to the customer’s specifications and weighs 27 tonnes; has a height of 5m and a jaw opening of 3.1m.
Once delivered to the client, which is a specialised demolition contractor, the HC 250 will be fitted on a 300-tonne Liebherr demolition excavator.

The customised attachment is part of Trevi Benne’s range of HC crushers, which is available through local distributor, Bost Group.
The premium range of HC crushers features a new innovation developed by Trevi Benne named the Impact Booster, which is a hydraulic valve installed on the cylinder that provides three times the pressure to the attachment than what is provided by the excavator.
The technology was initially presented at the 2013 BAUMA trade show and has since been installed on Trevi Benne's premium demolition series of products that ranges from 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes, which includes the MK series pulverisers, HC series primary crushers, F series pulverisers, FR series pulverisers and more. The products are suitable for use with excavators weighing 15 to 63 tonnes, and are all available via Bost Group.
According to Trevi Benne, the Impact Booster technology increases the performance of the attachments by an average of 20 per cent, in addition to faster opening and closing cycle times.
“It is great to be associated with a company that is innovative and readily working with clients to deliver what they need,” said Bost Group’s General Manager, Paul Peet.

Bost Group operates out of three locations in Australia - Melbourne, Perth and Sydney and has a large range of demolition and recycling attachments in stock. The company said it also works with customers to provide tailored solutions.
