Heavy machinery distributor Active Machinery has unveiled its 7.6-tonne telescopic wheel loader which suits applications where loading and unloading at heights is required.
The AL926FT was the first telescopic machine in the company’s offering, and was developed off the back of customer requests and took 18 months to design and manufacture.
“We want to make sure that the machine works as it should and customers are going to be happy with the final product,” says Active Machinery sales manager, John Romero.

It was first displayed to the public at the 2017 FarmFest field days in Toowoomba, and made its way around the country to several ag events including the Henty Machinery field days in September.
The boom is able to reach up to 5m in height, which is ideal for stacking hay bales, moving pallets, loading high trucks and more.
The AL926FT has a safe working load of 2.8 tonne fully retracted, and 1.5 tonne fully extended.
The machine comes with three attachments including a general purpose bucket, a 4-in-1 bucket and a pallet fork.
“Generally, if you’re looking at a telescopic machine you will be looking at spending anywhere from $80,000 to $130,000,” Romero says.

“The price of our machine is $34,990 with those three attachments.”
A two speed transmission transfers 99hp of power to the ground, provided by a 4-cylinder Cummins engine. A top speed of 28km/h can be reached with the AL926FT.
In addition to telescopic and wheeled loaders, Active Machinery also offers a range of earthmoving machinery including forklifts and excavators.
While initially selling off the shelf products, the company acquired its own factory in China six years ago and have been manufacturing its own products for sale in the Australian market.
“It gave us a lot more control over the product and we haven’t looked back since,” Romero says.
“We’ve now made sure that the product is up to the specifications that we wanted to meet, which is the expectations of customers, to make sure that we’ve got the best product for the most economical price.”
Active Machinery has a facility in Dandenong South (VIC) where the company receives and assembles its machines together ready for distribution.
