US-based heavy equipment manufacturer, Mustang, has expanded its product offering in Australia to include the NXT3 series of compact tracked loaders.
Two models in the range – the 1750RT and 2500RT NXT3 will be available in the country via Mustang's Australian distributor, Tutt Bryant Equipment.
Officially making its debut at the Diesel Dirt and Turf show in April, the Mustang 2500RT NXT3 compact tracked loader boasts a number of improvements from its predecessor models including new hydraulic pumps, better safety features and new motors.
A major upgrade on the NXT3 models is a fold up door that opens and closes from within the cab, which allows for safer ingress and egress for the operator.
"You can operate it with the door open if needed, but unlike many others, if you're loading this on to a truck using ramps underneath, the door can still open and close as opposed to being stuck open," explains Andrew Matheson from Tutt Bryant Equipment.
Ground clearance of the new machines, Mustang claims, is higher than most other machines on the market at 13.2 inches (335mm). They also feature Mustang's IdealTrax system which adjusts track tension automatically when the machine is operating, hence helping save on track replacement costs and eliminate weekly tension checks.
According to Matheson, the key feature that sets Mustang apart from other brands is its hydraulics.
"The big identifying feature for the Mustang tracked loader is its anti-stall hydraulics, where the horsepower from the engine to the hydraulics are well matched, and you will not stall these up," Matheson explains.
"You push this against any other machine and it will keep pushing, when the others will stall."
