At the Diesel Dirt and Turf show in Penrith (NSW) late last month, Takeuchi had on display its range topping TL12V2 compact tracked loader, its first vertical lift model in the range.
With a SWL of 1865kg, the loader is claimed to be the "largest and most powerful in its class".
In Australia, the Takeuchi brand is distributed by Semco Equipment Sales in NSW.
"In fact, this is only rated at 35 per cent of its capability," says Semco Equipment Sales director, Graham Murphy.
"The reason is that we like to have the loaded mass in the bucket, and have the gross mass distributed over the length of the undercarriage so the weight is distributed evenly.

"That way, all of the track components are carrying a fair share of the load, rather than put the entire load at the front.
"But this is the largest capacity machine in the world, bar none."
In addition, the TL12V2 is also Takeuchi's first vertical lift model. "There will be more units coming through – smaller ones- that will have that feature as well," Murphy adds.
Some new features on the machine include a wider cabin for increased comfort, new tracks that provide greater flotation and reduced vibration; a new and safer cab door opening mechanism, reinforced fall over protection structure (FOPS) and more.
