Volvo CE unveils new articulated haulers

Volvo Construction Equipment (CE) has rolled out a new range of articulated haulers in Europe, with the company saying the new models, which range in size from A25 to A60, “meet the modern-day need for connected solutions, productivity performance, and emission reduction, with the human at the centre”.

An all-new model, the A50, has been introduced, while the fresh lineup boasts a new electronics system, an upgraded cab, and an in-house-developed transmission designed to adapt to future drivetrains.

Fuel efficiency improvements of up to 15 per cent are possible with the new range, says Volvo, depending on the model and application, while the models have also been developed with sustainability in mind, with haulers produced at Volvo’s Braas site in Sweden benefitting from low carbon-emission steel, which is made from recycled materials and produced using fossil-free electricity and biogas.

“For nearly 60 years we have been leading the way with our range of articulated haulers and now, with today’s launch of a new range of outstanding products, including one completely new model, we prove that there are no limits to our capacity for innovation,” said the President of Volvo CE, Melker Jernberg.

“Our customers know to expect a first-class operation when they get into one of our haulers, but that experience has just got even better with a host of cutting-edge features designed with our customers in mind.”

Volvo says the new haulers are a part of what is its biggest product portfolio overhaul in decades, with over 35 per cent of its range renewed over the last 12 months.

Volvo CE Australia lists seven models in its articulated hauler range, including the new A50, A45, A40, and A35, with payload capacities ranging from 25,000kg to 55,000kg. See your nearest Volvo CE dealer for more information.
